This is a pre order deposit listing for the Jane Austen Coverlet Quilt Kit. A deposit of $135 is required to secure your kit, and the balance of $405 (totalling $540) will be required before collecting your kit. The complete kit will be available to paid in full customers from June 2025.
The Jane Austen Coverlet Kit includes the pattern, acrylic template, fabric for the quilt top, and binding. Backing fabric is not included.
Riley Blake Designs has collaborated with Jane Austen's House, an independent museum and charity in the UK, to recreate prints from Jane Austen's hand-quilted coverlet. The featured fabric is Jane Austen at Home.
This coverlet is a reproduction of the one created by Jane Austen, her sister Cassandra, and their mother.
It is a medallion-style quilt with a large central motif in the shape of a diamond, surrounded by 232 smaller diamonds connected by spotted sashing. The outer border features more than 2,500 smaller diamonds, and is supplied as a ready to use panel.
The finished coverlet measures approximately 80" x 100".
