Make a festive heirloom. The Hollygon Wreath is a sweet, tactile project with three styles to choose from:
- No applique: fussy-cut favourite prints and add simple running stitches, French knots, and sequins.
- Needleturn applique: soft edges and classic charm.
- Fusible appliqué: crisp shapes you can hand-stitch down with glittery thread.
Stitch 10 quilted pentagons and join them into a wreath you can hang or use flat as a centrepiece. Make it plain, needleturn, or fusible applique, and embellish to your heart’s content.
Quilt-as-you-go means each pentagon is made and quilted before assembly. Join pentagons with an invisible ladder stitch. Finish as a tablescape piece or hang it using either the cardboard ring template or a metal macrame ring. Clear steps, printable templates, and tiny-template pocket sheets keep the process calm and organised.
There are many links within the pattern to videos showing the techniques and useful tips in the pattern and a blog post.
